After 12 days of gym time, my belly pudge is sinking back! Yayy!!
I’m a lot hungrier than I was before, so I had to up my eating a tad. (Okay, a lot more) I’m trying to get a feel for whats normal and healthy portions now because I have to be really careful with over-eating. (That was my problem before) I’m kind of worried that I might make bigger excuses for my hunger than I should, so I’ve been making it a point to remember distancing myself appropriately. Now when I eat, I try to just eat meaty heavyish stuff in meals and carry on with the usual. I haven’t been getting in as many vegatables though… :( A lot of carbs and meat…
Imma try real hard to get back in touch with my veggies!
It’s been both relaxing and rough getting to the gym and I’m surprised it’s only been 12 days. Being active feels really fresh and new at the beginning, but today was the first time I struggled keeping motivated. I was super stressed coming out of work this morning, so that may have affected it, but any tips on how to keep motivated for being active? I’m scared I’ll get bored with the gym. (Netflix on my iphone has helped a ton)
A preview of some before and after…. but still working on things! 5’3 and I’ve been scared to check the scale so i’ve avoided it for several weeks. But I’m somewhere between 130 and 135 and I’d like to be under 130! - but i haven’t been hitting the gym to earn the 20s yet. I really want to hit the gym after work tomorrow….
Hopefully I’ll have a story for tomorrow about that! :D
In the dressing room :P Still pudgy, but smaller than before!

Catching Up
I’m not photographing what I eat anymore, but a few things have definitely changed in the past few months. I’ve lost about seventeen pounds so far, which leaves exactly seventeen more to go until I reach what is (around) my BMI weight.
Here are significant differences: I don’t allow myself chocolate in candy-form. I splurge and get Mocha Ice Caps from Tim Horton’s (literally) almost every morning. (A Chocolate Coffee) I use this to replace my breakfast. This item from Tim Horton’s is actually more of a ‘dessert’ food and might not be considered a healthy choice… but, it has helped me cut back on extra servings I tend to eat during breakfast and it’s stopped me from craving chocolate bars and other chocolate things so much. (M&Ms were my problem)
Now, another factor is that I haven’t been going grocery shopping. I’m on campus so much that whenever I buy groceries, my bread/milk goes stale, especially since the only meal I’m home for is breakfast. So I buy my food wherever I am, and spending money and walking somewhere off campus for food has become something special and significant. My Tim Horton’s morning experiences are so blissful; chocolate coffee, Price is Right, wireless for my iphone… I carry a kind of patience between my meals that I hadn’t before. I’ve been leaning on other ways of eliminating stress in my life. (music, work, etc.) There aren’t excuses to go get snacks anymore. You’d look at me like I was crazy if I said I was losing weight by eating Taco Bell and Subway, but it’s in how much I’m getting and what else I’ve already eaten that day. I’ll also try and get some salads from my school’s ‘grocery’ store.
